I had the slow cooked beef cheeks and it was absolutely delicious! The dish was full of flavour — the beef was tender, the pasta was creamy, and the croissant on the side was fresh and buttery. Loved the soft egg on top too, it tied everything together perfectly. The cafe itself has a nice vibe and the staff were friendly. Highly recommend this place if you’re around Southbank!

Fantastic coffee, reasonably priced and lovely staff. Getting 4 stars as they’d started mopping and stacking chairs around 2pm when they close at 4pm - ruined the atmosphere slightly.

In the damp, existential crisis that is a rainy Melbourne morning, we somehow found the will to live again—thanks to breakfast. Not just any breakfast, but the kind that makes you question everything you thought you knew about eggs, roti, and your own self-worth. We stumbled into Workshop Bros Southbank, mostly to escape the rain and our responsibilities, and were immediately seduced by what can only be described as a delicious fever dream: grilled bacon & halloumi, roasted sesame, fresh herbs, crispy shallots, and Thai red chilli jam lounging seductively on grilled roti. Breakfast? Brunch? Postmodern art installation? Who cares—it was magic. And just when we thought we’d peaked, they hit us with slow-cooked beef cheeks, poached eggs, hollandaise, pickled red cabbage, sliced apple, and a herb salad... all cozily stuffed into a toasted croissant. Because why not? Breakfast rules are dead. The coffee? A masterpiece. Michelangelo would weep. The service? So friendly, so polite, so efficient it made us suspicious. Are they okay? Blink twice if you need help. Also, it was packed. Apparently, people on the south side of the Yarra do have taste. So go. Now. Before the rest of Melbourne finds out and you're stuck eating sad toast at home again.

We had brunch on Sunday with some friends, and it was a fantastic experience. The food and drinks were beautifully presented and had a really refined touch. Most of us ordered the restaurant’s signature slow-cooked beef cheeks, they were incredibly tender and full of flavor, definitely the highlight of the meal. The atmosphere was relaxed yet stylish, and the service was attentive. A great spot for a leisurely weekend catch-up!

Probably the only place serving coffee in coconut milk in Southbank. I have been searching for a place for months now and this is the only one which caters to all my dietary restrictions. Gluten free Dairy free Coconut milk We tried: - Toast with avocado on the side - Few different croissants and danish - Cappuccino and latte Everything we had was good and we have no complaints. Although it felt the staff was rushing us. We were constantly being asked if we are ready to order, the staff was hovering to clear the plates as soon as one of us finished our food or coffee. Then the staff dropped the bill while we were still having our meal. It felt odd and awkward. It wasn’t even near closing time. I want to go back but unsure if I will because I clearly cannot sit and relax over there, with friends or alone.

I had breakfast at Workshop Bros many time and it was easy, quick and delicious every time. Nothing is a problem for a staff, service is friendly and efficient. I just wish their gluten free bread was a better quality. It set in a busy area, but still nice and peaceful inside and outside of the cafe. It is one of my preferred cafes in the Southbank. Would definitely recommend to visit. Thank you.

Came here to try their Einspänner through Skip app so it would be ready when I arrive. When I arrived, they had no idea there was an order through Skip So I had to wait, but luckily they made it pretty quick. Reasonable wait time, as it was not as busy as well. Seems like it’s more like Mont Blanc than Einspänner, should’ve known from the description.. citrus cold brew with cream Nevertheless, the coffee drink was delicious and refreshing, recommend to try
